Hi All, I have been registered here since 2013 and am just getting around to starting my project now.

I have a K75C which I purchased in 2005 it was quite nice. This was the bike when I picked it up from the previous owner.

I rode it for a few years and then had some clutch problems. I put a new clutch in, put it back together and had a few other things to finish but then got busy with kids and all that family stuff. I put it in the shed thinking it would only be for a little while.

Well finally 10 years later, I'm getting started on making it look like this again.

Lots of good info on here that I have been lurking around having a look at, now I have made a start and so it's time to post here so that I can start a project to keep track of the fun and seek advice from everyone as I go.

Thanks
B

Welcome back and I hope getting the K75 on the road is a New Year Resolution!!

We all go through those things but now it's nice to see about getting it all back together and sorted. I guess a new thread for the project is in order, but a few essential maintenance items to be attended to depending on how exactly the K75 was mothballed or not mothballed. If you have it all as in the photo you have a great bike to get you around.

You won't have any shortage or good advice and help. Meeting up is good for getting the project moved along, its also good for the mind and well being and looks like a workshop weekend or two with Koffee Kakes and sKones would be well attended.!!

Thanks Olaf, Barry and Charlie.

Yes the bike is all complete and I will start a project in that section shortly, have to remember to take some pics. The bike is just all very dirty and a little bit rusty because the shed that it is in has a gravel floor and hay in it. So moisture seeps in through the floor in winter and rodents are always around in the hay.  Sad

I have started on the front brakes, the fluid had turned to mud but they cleaned up very well. It has had fork gaiters on and the fork tubes look great still, so should be just seals and fork oil. Next step is to clean out the fuel tank and new filter and new lines. It looks very good in the tank so I have my fingers crossed that the pump will still work. Once the fuel and air systems are all clean I will see if it will run. After that, disassembly for a major clean and the frame needs a repaint, fix bits as I find them and put it all back together. Sounds simple but …

More details and pics in its own thread soon.

Welkome aboard! Since you already know what a mighty beast the K75 is you will be as keen as to get it on the road again.

I just took mine up to Brisbane & back last week to get the year going. Lots of help on here if you need it and once it is back on the road keep an eye on this forum as some of us will no doubt be in range of you during the year.

There is nothing better than catching up in person with the great people on this forum.

Cheers
