Łódź definitely does look nice, and it's a very good city for motorcyclists - there are both beginning and end of the motorcycling season celebrations with thousands of bikers.
As a result, most drivers in Łódź are very mindful of riders - I can't remember the last time I've been cut off, and lane splitting is just a great experience of drivers moving out of your way and making space.
