I really didn't think that anybody could be so stupid as to not triangulate the rear shock mount. It's a death trap

Very very scary, I know why he is selling it, he got over his suicidal tendencies. I sincerely hope it won't pass the roadworthy test.
Regards Martin.

Why is there a sock around the front brake master cylinder?

It's not a sock, it's a receptacle for marshmallows that he puts in his back pockets.  I put it in Humour, Well what else but laugh at it. 44271

"These bikes are bullet proof and turn heads."

He got that right, turn heads the other way - to reach for the shotgun to put it out of it's misery.

I'm preserving the ad here so that in a year, when the ad is gone, the thread will make sense. Actually, owner needs a good flogging, not the bike.  Geez, what a waste.

Bleeping_Idiot wrote:1982 BMW r100rt cafe racer/ scrambler. One of a kind.

Motor excellent and had 43,000kms before I scrapped the speedo.
Mods and new:

*New subframe to suit solo bobber seat.
*Freshly painted tank, smoothed and 2 pac paint.
*Motogadget M Unit electrical system fitted by Mid Life cycles. Including alarm.
*Custom made exhaust including baffles. Sounds great, not too loud.
*Foam filters
*Custom Wilbers front suspension done by 'suspensions are us' in Seaford Vic
*New rear Hagon shocks, 3 way adjustable.
*New custom triple clamp upper plate.
*New headlight
*New front indicators and led strip at rear for brake, taillight and indicators.
*Tracker bars
*New White wall tyres
*Brand new Biltwell bobber seat

Currently on full reg however will be sold without reg and RWC. Needs fenders, speedo for rwc and reflector. Easy job. Needs a good flogging to power up battery as well.

Bike rides really well, no smoke or leaks. I have had it sitting finished in the garage for the last few months due to lack of time and other projects. Lots of money spent on this very popular model, ready for someone else to ride, tweak or just love and admire. Won't be disappointed. Not desperate to sell because these will only increase in value.

No test rides until committed to buy. Call for any queries 0409232068. Bike located in Frankston Victoria.

These bikes are bullet proof and turn heads.

The certification plate shown in one of the images is the original certification. I'm pretty sure the modifications that are done to this poor old boxer would make it unable to be registered in a lot of OZ states. If the modifications have been approved another plate should be affixed to the frame showing what modifications have been approved.
Regards Martin.

I predict it will be a very cheap parts bike in a year or two.  Probably less.
