In the last year my K has been running hot, the fan was switching on regularly and the bike would cool down, the next stop it would warm up and switch on again, seemed like it was running a temp just under where the fan kicks in, I fitted a new BMW (expensive) fan about 16 years ago, and used to let it idle in the driveway to make the fan run and not seize, as it rarely came on, so I pulled the radiator out thinking its full of bugs, no bugs or crap so cleaned it, pulled the thermostat out and found it was stuck open about 4 to 5mm, replaced it with a corolla one, I have ridden around for a week and all is back to normal yay. Hope this helps others that may experience similar probs, cheers Gary
Forgot to say that the engine gets up to operating temp a lot quicker than before, and that is a good thing as most rides are short around town.
