Hi from both of us

My other half has asked me to join the forum< he is a real technophobe and cant use a pc or even a smart phone, so please have patience with us both

He has 2 K100's, one is very poorly after taking a 50mph spill, the other is his baby and is an early naked k which is just in the process of being put back together after a tidy up.
I ride, as a learner but, he is insisting that i do my test. However the K100 is way too tall for me< but not for him as he is a burly 6 footer

kind regards to you all

Ps he says..... do you know where to purchase the tank decals as he is struggling to get some that are original early ones?   Thanks

WelKome to both of you.

I sympathise with you on height. I only just make it to be able to use the K100, but I love it, and the Kameraderie of the people on this forum.

We only pretend to look down on non-K100 riders, so whatever you ride that's not K100, you'll be fine. Mind you, here in Oz, even if you're tall and beefy enough, you'd not be allowed on a K100 as a learner.

Good advice on this forum, and good people in your part of the world.

I'll probably be shot down in flames by those more knowledgeable, but I wasn't aware of any stickers on K100 tanks - just the BMW badges, which are easily obtained from Motobins and Motorworks in the UK.

Bill

Well you can be a learner on a K100 in Ireland! Provided you are over 24. Not all K riders are!

But, I could suggest a K75 with the low seat option, raised fork stanchions and slightly lower rear tyre [140/80 instead of 130/90] might just work for you and its a gem of a bike.

As for the 50mph spill, bike poorly is one thing but we hope the rider is not so poorly.

Don't b afraid to ask questions here, everyone will be willing to pop in some answers.
