Hi,
For those that have a broken foot peg (BECAUSE THE SERVO FAILED AND YOU CRASHED) and! You can not find one may I suggest the following repair.
It is to be noted that the K1200RS 199? - 1999 have a foot peg that looks like a riser (AFTER MARKET TYPE THING) - this is standard.
After 2000 they went flat - these will fit on the bike. However, the rear pegs "are different" form the riders pegs....
I hope my photos tell the story - If you need more help, please contact me.....Be safe.
1. Fashion a bit of metal (strong to hold your 100Kgs butt).
insert into space that is available. Pictured below.
2. Secure - I used lock nuts because I'm paranoid.
3. Remove original mounting plate of rubber foot rest.
4. Create recesses to make room for your new bolts that come up through the bottom of peg. (At this point - do not drill holes into your hands - this point is important).
5. Contact adhesive - the original rubber foot rest onto the modified foot peg... leave to dry in the sun (Sun; - that is an Australian thing).....
Look out for cars - be nice to each other.....
