Hi ,
I am  62  from Tauranga  , New Zealand. Bought my 84 K100RS in May 1986 , one owner less than 10000ks on the clock.
Still have it. Just bought another one yesterday in dismantled condition,  it's a project, that's what bought me here looking for ideas.

We were supposed to go to Tauranga on the cruise we took last year, but it was too rough to get into the harbour. Wife was very upset to miss going to Hobbiton. Hope to be over there again in the next few years.

The cruise boats only come in for a day..arrive 6 am leave 6pm..... If you come back just let me know in advance and you can borrow my K bike for the day...it is only 60ks from here to Matamata ( Hobbiton). There's plenty of other stuff to see around here too. You will see more of it on a bike than in a tour bus.
If you don't want to ride  I can always run you over there , as long as I am in town.
cheers

ONLY 1.75 ACTUALLY ...that could change at any time...like I said its an illness.  There are more than 20 "other" bikes in the shed, (none are from the East)., the Ks are the most modern in the pack . The latest acquisition.... 87 K100RS  wont be getting restored, I have a 3 wheel project build plan  in mind. sc25 sc1

Welcome Leakers - from Wanaka! Was in your neck of the woods a couple of weeks ago and did a lap of the Coromandel by car. Would rather have been on my K but only until the rain hit. Hard.
So you bought the K100 on Trademe! Certainly got a job in front of you and look forward to watching the progress.
All the best and hope to see you on the Mainland Very Happy
