Think I may have been a member years ago but don't remember.  Decided to do a once over on my 85 K100RT and started hunting for answers to the old broken Green starter button conundrum.  Got the answer here.  www.hardtoptire.com Replacement button (3 in package with new spring).  From Spain.  $12.00 shipped.  Just installed.  Follow the pictures.  Now like new.  Happy.  Happy.  Great forum.

Welkome aboard. Enjoy the K and thanks for posting that resource for start buttons and speedo gears.

A good example of how this forum works - members helping others with all sorts of info.

Cheers

Don't you love stuff that works?  $12 for a little piece of plastic and a spring seems a lot until you price out a used set of switches.

I have a couple of extra plastic buttons if someone needs one.  No spring but if you have the original spring or can find a replacement you're all fixed.  No charge.  I'll contribute one if it reduces stress in another senior citizen.

Now back to the prep work for repainting the old beast.  Wouldn't need to but the RT fairing upper left bolt holder broke and caused the right bottom bolt to break off with a little chunk of the fairing bottom.  Fixed it but you can just see the repair so everything gets new paint.

Thanks for the welcome.
