But - as they are needed so rarely - only really if you change valves, it would be cheaper to borrow a set if possible.

I administer the UK BMW Club Tool Hire facility. It has a Morgan Carbtune that I hire out to members. The only problem is that sometimes you need to clean the stainless steel rods as they can get a bit sticky'. Have hired them out countless times as the work on carbs and throttle bodies.

Here's what I use.  Connect to two throttle bodies.  Transmission fluid in bottles flows to bottle connected to the highest vacuum.  Cost $15 and works as good or better than the fancy ones.

Davida. They'll take a far greater battering than the Morgan and still come back for more. Mine are now around 25 years old.
