I've got the possibility to get Brake Pads 4 = 2 Sets for 10€
BMW Part Number 34111454724
A Motorcycle store is doing a closing out sale.


I'm irritated because of the different Size of Brake Pads for the two K75 I have.
Was there a change from organic to sinter Pads?

K75 non ABS 1991/7 0250386K75

There must be a change in Brake Pads 88/8
With ABS there could be a change to.
Change in sinter or organic

Does the BMW number 34111454724 fit front an rear on both my Ks?
Are they sinter or organic?

If I search in EBay I find this sizes of Brake Pads
I would like to understand the Brake Pad story :-)

But for Denmark 12/96

So does it fit a 1991 non ABS and a 1992 ABS bike?
It doesn't say anything about sinter or organic.

There must be different sizes.

Sintered or organic - it doesn't matter. Organic is possibly better because it will give less braking force than sintered i.e. more difficult to skid the rear wheel. Never put sintered at the rear and organic at the front because you will be following the bike down the road if you try that.

What's more important is that you get the right size pad for the calipers you have. There are two sizes; 55.5mm wide and 57mm wide. You can't go on the year of the bike because someone may have changed the calipers at some point, so measure the width of the pads coming out. I think the change occurred with the introduction of the 4 valve engine but I'm not sure.

I think that you are overcomplicating the matter a bit. You will probably find that they fit ABS and non ABS as the pads do not know if ABS is fitted at all. 
They are brake pads, does it matter if they are sintered or organic, BMW say brake pad kit so they will work. What is the problem with sintered or organic?  I believe that they are the same pads that are in the rear of my 1991 K100RS 16v with ABS, but I also believe that those pads are used in the rear on many BMWs including the boxers that I have owned, and in the front of some bikes.
That question that you keep asking is will they fit all of your Ks, only you know exactly what models of K that you have, and only you can check the brake pads that are fitted.

Good Dai, that comes closer to what I'm interested in.

Asking a the old man that is closing his store, I found out this.
I didn't verify that information.

9/88 the front brake calipers have changed to fit the new sintered Pads
Rear stayed the same 55.6

Before 8/88 rear and front had the same size 55.6

After 9/88 ABS came out and the front brake calipers changed to 57.6 rear stayed 55.6. 
Like 9.91 the good  Showa Fork was introduced to all Ks.

So the brake pads I can buy a few BMW OEM Sets from 34111454724 and 55.6 are organic and good on all 2V Ks rear and good for all Ks before 9/88 front.
All ABS 2V Ks should have 57,6 front Pads and rear 55.6.

You're right Dai, I wouldn't put sinter Pads on the rear ;-)
You are right the brake calipers could have been changed.
Probably my calipers are original, I will check.

Sometimes it's good to get to the roots and not only guessing.
