Just came back from a trip to the alps.
Last year I went in August, this year in June.
Much less crowded as the holidays in central Europe has not yet started.
Makes riding easier and more relaxed.
Not the best weather on theese pics, quite cold infact.

Still a lot of snow around.
They were skiing at the top of Passo Stelvio!
Cheers,Wikur!

Excellent pictures and a slight variation to TWB's current trip.
And from another thread one would assume 10 degrees celsius is not even close to cold. Very Happy

Is there a secret competition on this site to see who can send in the best photographs that make everyone jealous/envious?

Yes wikur, excellent photos.

Great pictures however what they also do is prove Wikur is a Man of Steel for being able to ride in those conditions The alps, again. Icon_biggrin

Thanks guys!
I`m not so sure about " Man of steel" but heated grips and a few pounds of overweight helps to stay warm. The alps, again. Icon_lol
Here`s a closeup of the bike for badgerdid.

There are many ways to pack gear on your bike, this works OK for me.
One of the panniers contains cooking gear, the other camera and other useful stuff.
Green and yellow waterproof bags contains clothes.
The green bundle is tent, sleepingbag and mattress wraped in a waterproof cover.
As I do most cooking myself I always leave quite large space in the panniers for provisions.
I always tend to carry too much stuff but you never know when something will be needed.
I`ve had thoughts about a topbox but it just doesn`t look nice on an RS.
Cheers,Wikur!

Thanks for that, at least i have some idea now. I will have to get everything out and try it soon.

The tank bag is one thing im struggling to find and the moment, aluminium tank and fairing wrapping around the tank doesnt help, lol

Here is another way to pack.... This was at the MOA rally in Vermont. Wallmart was sold out on folding camping chairs and this is the only one that we could buy.

Here is the alternative keeping the top case. I like to keep the weight away from the cowl. All the heavy gear is on the seat and it is the equivalent of having a passenger.
The straps for the tank bag stay permanently on the bike. When I don't use it, the 2 straps are folded under the seat.
