Hi
Im Peter and bought my first BMW K100rs a 92 model. Big had been laying up for four years so it was cold seized when I got it . So It was easy enough to free the engine up and I also replaced the battery and plugs.
So I initially had real problems trying to get the bike to fire up and battery kept going down. So after much head scratching I checked there was A , a good spark B, Fuel get through . So still no joy so last night I decided to pull out the fuel injectors and turn the engine over to see if all where firing . I found number three was not . I also found that the top o ring was had a tear in it .
This morning I cleaned the blocked injector with carb cleaner and checked it was electrically firing ,all good .
This is where I'm in trouble I think , I was fitting the rail with the injectors back into the holes in the block and Im not sure when they are in correctly. So I screwed in the the two mounting screws and started up the bike after a couple of tempests and it ran sweet for 15 minutes, After lunch I came out agin and started up the bike only to see a huge amount of fuel coming out from above the rocker cover ( I had the fairing back on so I couldn't see where exactly where or if it was fuel ) I switched off and stipped fairing off.
So Im thinking that rail is not seated properly for injectors. Is there a correct procedure ?
