Hallo Im a Danish fellow (near Roskilde) that bought a k100 rs from 86 last fall. I Plan to make it to a Café racer. Ill post some pictures really soon. 


I’m here to figure out how to install a new speedometer a koso d64 instead of the big cluster it’s born with.  All this mechanical stuff is all new to me, and the wiring diagrams that have been posted here doesn’t make sense to me, yet. But Im sure I can figure it out.
Guess I need a  RBM’s TGPI boards if im to get rit of the original cluster. I have no need for display I really only need the neutral light that the speedometer has build in. 


Id also like to remove the air filter box with the air flow motor replacing it with 4 kn filters, But im not willing to sacrifice too much of the performance for the extra nice look. So If any one has experience with this Id like to know.

16 valve models are the ones you can change to velocity stacks
unfortunately the 8 valve models require the afm metering in the air induction path ...but one could become creative perhaps , before the afm

Thanks for the replay. Then Ill keep the box and place a kn filter in it. Because if you can’t get rid of both boxes, I don’t think it’s worth it. 
Now all I need is to do some more research in here to figure out the speedometer.
