Just registered on site - my eligibility is my 1990 K1, a Japanese import a few years ago, currently only showing 20,000 kms. Always wanted one when they came out but couldn't afford one back then!

Have a few other bikes - a 2001 R1150GSA and a 2016 Scrambler X, plus a 1998 Suzuki DR350S I use for green laning, a 1977 Honda Camino I use for moped challenges, and a 1962 AJS 250 first registered the same day I was born.

I have a particular interest in long distance rallying and run a website for BLDR (British Long Distance Riders), a Moped Challenge website, and my own site at www.thegrimrider.com

I am looking to arrange a meeting for K1 owners in June, shall post details separately; according to the DVLA's latest stats there are only 27 currently registered in the U.K. so be great to see how many we can get in one place!

Had a look at the BLDR site and had to laugh, if you come down here in September with the Irish K riders the I can help with the challenge "visiting 50 castles in a year", I'll show you 50 in 3 weeks without going too far!

Now there's an invite, just bring your tent and what you need. The camp site is organised and just perfect for a base. My ferry is booked!

Having said that I guess a K1 will carry a small tent......but last time we were there the guys at the camp site stood over us as we packed up to leave. Didn't believe the stuff we had came on our bikes. Tetris packing....anyway you can always being the 1150.

Or just buy a cheap tent down here and leave it in my garage till you return, as seems to happen with all visitors.

Decathlon for a tent. Stop at Decathlon Nantes? Or a Decathlon at Tours or somewhere on that route.

Or in Perigueux. Or even look on their website and choose a tent and I'll pop in and get it before you arrive.

I might be able to coax some of the other Irish K1 owners to venture across the pond but unfortunately can't do 3rd or 10th of June as I will be in Scotland on another bike and 17th June weekend is also booked.

You are of course welcome over here and good to see another Black K1.

I am not sure if you have confirmed a meeting date but if you also posted on Facebook I think Andreas from Germany was also interested and I would love to catch up with him again.
