Looks good. What sort of rear shock is it?

Welcome! Nice bike you have there.
Basic2, looks like a Works Performance shock. They work pretty nice.

I'm not sure i bought the bike today and I just took the bags off to look at it before I took that picture. Whatever it is (and i hope it is works performance as suggested) it needs to be rebuilt because it is leaking a bit. Anyone know what a shock rebuild costs or if it is something that a relatively handy individual can do?Basic2 wrote:Wekcome Gene.

I had a blown works performance shock for my K75S rebuilt, charged and a stock length rod installed for something like $120 + shipping about a year ago. Turnaround is about two weeks.
When the shaft seal goes, the bladder in the reservoir goes too. They replace both as part of the rebuild as I seem to recall.
Their website has a section on BMW's. Your shock looks like their Steel Tracker w/TRS,ARS, and REZ.

Here's the blurb on service and repair:

BTW, anyone with shocks other than Works Performance be advised that they rebuild and tune other people's shocks as well as their own. Judging from their pricing, they might save you a few dollars.
