So, about 6 months ago I was as the fueling station.  Went to put my RS up on the center stand and the stand broke.  Needless to say the bike went down and did some considerable damage (like beyond repair) to the upper front fairing.  I was able to find one in decent shape on ebay and had it professionally repaired and painted.  Also found a tail fairing in excellent shape for cheap and had it repainted to match the upper front fairing.  IMO, not a bad look.1987 K100RS K100rs11

G'day Gellermpd , glad that you didn't use the drop as an excuse to hack your bike into another cafe racer , she looks pretty good , well done from another 87 KRS owner ! , from the the pics it looks like you have replaced the broken stand with another of the same type , the K1100 centre stand is a better , stronger design and will bolt straight in , something to consider

Bike looks good! Just wondering what broke or
(failed) on the original stand?

G'day Scotts 87 , what usually happens is that water can get into the hollow tubes of the centre stand legs via the rubber bungs in each end and rust them out from the inside , you don't notice it until it is weakened enough to collapse when you pull the bike onto the stand . A good mod is to use the stand off a K1100 , the legs are straight and sealed by weld

Hope this helps
