Was trolling around the M&P site after eyeing up some vacuum gauges and noticed what is surely a pricing error for 130/90-17 H rated Conti Go!'s.

They're only asking £27.99!?!

Someone try it and report back, please! I'm tempted to get one even though I technically need V rated, for which they're asking £102.99..

EDIT: I caved and bought one, it seems to have gone through fine. We'll see!

Maybe getting a bit old?

It'll be interesting to see the manufacture date.

If all is ok, SCORE!

Unfortunately, if the bike requires a V rated tyre, then I understand you are breaking the law (at least in the UK) by fitting a lower rated one. Your insurance may also be invalidated. Granted not many people will actually know what rating the tyre should be for your bike, even at an MOT station, but give the insurance companies a way out and they will be there in a flash.

I don't know if anyone else has used them, but I have one on the front of my K100RS 16v for a little over a year and 6.000 miles and must say it is not my favorite tire.

Besides being a b!tch to balance it has turned a pretty sweet handling machine into something that fights me in nearly every slow speed turn.  It's ok on the highway at speed(except for pavement seams), but in town or a parking lot it's a handful and I must say, a bit scary.

At first I thought it might be a problem with the steering head bearings, but they look ok.  I've tried different pressures from about 37psi up to 45psi and nothing seems to tame it.  I suppose I might have a bad one, but there may be a reason for the low price.

I am aware I need a V rated tyre but H is okay for anything that isn't an RS, as far as I know. Which is why I posted it here.. That and it'll make a great spare wheel ready for when I pick up yet another puncture Embarassed

The bike had a pair of Conti Go!'s on it when I got it, and I thought they were fine. The construction is a bit soft, they allow a lot of wobbling in corners but the grip was fine, they lasted ~5500 miles until the cords were showing on the rear (not that I would do such a thing, Officer) and gave a very comfortable ride compared to anything else I've had on it.

No email from M&P to cancel my order yet, maybe I've gotten away with it.. Or maybe, as blaKey says, it'll be ancient. I'll let you all know when it arrives, along with those lovely vacuum gauges and a puncture plugging kit (sodding punctures, honestly..) and a Cheng Shin for the CB250. I'm very open minded when it comes to tyres, apparently Cool

I had that same issue between V and H rated tyres.
When you look at the permitted speeds most Ks gearing means they can't go beyond H rated maximum speed. If you were to go according to speed limits it would be an even lower rating, complicated only by the fact that within EU some roads have no speed limit. Isle of Man and Germany being 2. Most Ks also have an advisory 120/130km/h speed limit with panniers on board.
I have quite happily used H rated on the K, some of the Bridgestone BT45 come in both ratings.

Well the tyre arrived today, everything seems fine - it is as described and dated week 5 of 2016, so it's really not old. I also noticed they're now asking for £91.99 which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Did anyone else get one, or did you all miss out? Razz
