Hi Guys,

I’m from Sydney and have just bought a 1986 K100RS that needs a little bit work. This is my 4^th bike, I had a Honda Spada for my Ls/Ps, then a Yamaha FZ6 (which I still have now), and a GPZ1000rx (which I also still have, but is kinda busted). I bought the K100 as I wanted something a bit easier to work on than the GPZ, which is proving a bit difficult to source parts for, and is a pain to work on. I have a decent amount of experience working on cars (I've done a full resto on a 1972 Celica), but none with bikes, so I’ll be bugging people with questions here and there.  My immediate plans for the bike are to fix a noisy alternator, remove the fairings, and fit some newer wheels with radial tyres. I actually  pick up the bike tonight, so I’ll post up a pic then.

Yep, post a picture of your bike; we like photos. In fact, we'll look at just about anything...

All the things you mentioned have been discussed on here, so do a Search and sit back and soak in all of the knowledge.
