First time that the sidecar saw the sun light in over 4 months!
Last week we still had snow on the ground and today we had 24 degrees Celsius.
I couldn't resist and had to see the real color of the rig. It will still take me another week to two weeks to do the maintenance on the bike but I am anxiously waiting for the first ride (Just let DOT plug the craters on the road. ie: potholes).
Here are the first pictures...

Before you go too far with this project, please note that you are bolting the chair on the WRONG side of the bike! Will all the dogs fit into the chair at the same time?
Certainly looks good in the shade and light... well done.

There are websites for waxing, flash etc........

Looking good, nice to be out in the sun again.

Seems like I more or less wore out a set of tyres and two oil changes while you were snowed in so not likely to see such a gleaming K over here...unless its a K1.

I just got some 'new' wheels on eBay.. they even came with decent tyres on and for a lot less than it would have cost me to get mine repainted.

So, a question for when you are heading over to France again........a stopover in Dublin? Then a flight to Luxembourg or wherever you will be headed to?

I will be in Europe the second week of June.
I was looking at the option of going from Halifax to Dublin then Paris, but ASLairlines (which has a direct flight to Dublin) doesn't start flying before the end of June.
A good friend from Halifax is coming with me for the first 2 weeks and we will go to the south. (We may rent a bike for one or two days). The next 2 weeks I will stay with family and friends. My brother will turn 50 and there is a big 3 days birthday party planned. ( First day seeing the sun in over 4 months 22936 Beer drinker First day seeing the sun in over 4 months 595960310 )

With Christina (you met her when you were in Halifax), we are thinking about a full month biking in Europe for next year. We will start to discuss it in the fall.

A full month in Europe next year sounds good.....that presents a few opportunities especially if you are down Rouffignac way!

weather can be variable but Wild Atlantic Way is nice, west coast Ireland and ends at Cork with a ferry Cork to Roscoff...!

Yes they are stickers (only the outline) They are not huge transparent printed ones. It's a bit tricky to install because the lines are very thin. They are CNC cut.
The total cost for all of them was only $80.

Thanks K-Rider.
Actually, everybody who have seen the pictures or the bike likes it. The choice was difficult, but I am very happy.
I originally made several design/color on the computer, and when I found something that I liked, I went hunting for the specific color. This is a BMW color (not bike but car).
I was the most difficult color to apply. This paint doesn't cover very well and we had the hardest time to have all the pieces matching together. An extra coat of spray and the color was to dark.

Here is a very interesting side by side picture of the sidecar in the paint booth(neon lights + 2 powerful LED projectors) and outside in the day light.
Hard to believe that this is the same sidecar. I was expecting some difference, but the result is unexpected. This is not a problem as I like both.
The paint is a light metallic one.
It you ever want to paint your bike with another color scheme, you are better to go on a car lot and look at the car under different lighting.

About 5 coats of clear coat....
But, unless you polish the clear coat, it will not shine and the paint color will be a bit different.
First you have to use a rubbing compound that will remove any sign of orange peel, and then you use the polishing compound.
Imagine what it will look like with a good coat of wax. cheers

This is what I use and I highly recommend it.

I also used this kind of polishing wheels
