Hello from the flatlands of Norfolk,
                                                        UK that is, not Virginia- I've been lurking around this forum for a few months seeing if I can broaden my knowledge of Bricks and some posts have come in useful while doing a complete driveline overhaul on my 102k miler K75c. This is my second K75, it replaced the first one which was sold and very soon regretted! Other bike is quite a different ride, a Virago750 and was bought to use while I overhaul the Beemer, and now that I've done the rear end it'll get a cam chain job.
                  Been riding a while, since 1960 (legally) and out of all the bikes I've had, the K75 is  the nicest engine for long brisk rides. What else would anyone here want to know about this newbie? Probably not a lot! As I'm mostly retired from self employed engineering - hence avatar Kan do- I do my own maintenance but definitely not a K expert so I shall be looking and learning from The Knowledgeable Ones!

Plenty of knowledgeable ones here, as I've found to my great benefit. Even us less knowledgeable ones can help out sometimes too.

Try the flat country out here in the antipodes. so flat and straight you get 10 minutes to get setup for a bend.

Where I live the roads are anything but flat.

After having been spoiled by your first K I'm not surprised that you got another!

Thanks for the welcome guys! Well Dai, many of the roads hereabouts are indeed wide, straight and flat, but what with the numptys , assorted agricultural debris, speed cameras, deer, hares, gigantic tractors popping out of side turnings there's enough going on to keep boredom at bay most days!

     Yep, my second K75, the first was a well maintained ex plod RTIC which ran really sweet, this second one seems to have spent the last 10 years going around the M25 amongst the trucks judging by the amount of sooty crud that was in thick layers in all the nooks'n'crannies that don't get cleaned in regular washes, 1/4" thick under the airbox and around the backend of the gearbox! Pretty good now though. Bike is fitted with a Sprint ST fairing, big round headlight. I used it for 2 years and pulled it off the road this Jan to do all the planned maintenance- - that hasn't gone quite to plan- - don't suppose it usually does?

  Like you I have only just joined in on the forum, altho' I been using it as a source of servicing and repairs to my recently acquired Norwich City Canary Lallow K75 Steed..

About to change my discs and pads over then off to Old Buckenham tonight if you would like to meet up for a natter....

   I've not been to Buck for a few weeks and that would have been roight noice as they say locally, sadly though I've had a problem day with a big laminating job on a sidecar that I'm modifying and I've got to press on with it in the evenings as well before the weather cools down any more or I'll have to heat the workshop.. It's still dry. so should be a good crowd.

 Never seen a yeller K75 so I'll keep a look out for it!

The 75 is a great nimble mount for the B roads and you won't be in anyone's way on the motorways. Welcome to the forum.

Sorry that you couldn't make Ol'Bucky this eve, it was a great crowd, mine was the only 'Brick' there, but not the only Lallow bike, seems to be a popular colour, anyhoo, it started to thin out early so went to Sunny Hunny to watch the setting sun with a coffee and some doughnuts..
hopefully see you about soon, Copdock shortly, mine you it were a great day for doing outsidey stuff, Playing about with yer sidecar and such like..
I would be interested to know wot sort you are doing up or building bud..

As 88 rightly says, the K75 is really quite apt on the fast B & minor A roads, I had a proper blast tonight..
