hello guys,

first of all I want to thank you all for contributing to the massive expanse of Knowledge that can be wheedled out from the pages of this forum.

so...... by chance came across a K100 for sale near me on the local free adds, the price made me take notice but I knew nothing of these bikes. A few evenings research made me think that it was a hell of a bike for the money. I thought it was worth a punt, what's the worst that could happen.....

so hear I am a year later...... completely obsessed. she's a 1988 LT with 31k miles, the previous owner removed the fairings for his own reasons and for the time being I have left them off. I have removed the LT bars though as I found them to high and uncomfortable, I've also dropped the instrument cluster, head light etc to suit and am planning another few mods.

I will likely be popping up in the forums soon with some stupid questions but again thank you all for your help so far.

Brett

Hi Brett. WelKome to the forum.
There is a certain joy in riding a naked bike. Mine's an 89RT and the fairing parted ways a while back. I installed RS bars and lowered the instruments also. I'm considering flat bars if I can find something the correct size.
Would love to see some pics.
Cheers

Welcome!

I too fell victim to the allure of the K...

Mine is an '85 RS nakedized and as soon as I have driving lights and extra brake lights added to it I will post pictures.

Yes, Kpox is a tough malady.  This weekend the weather should be nice enough to get a photo of my garage a trois.

out for a run today and finally got some photos to put up.
twelve previous owners makes her a bit of a slut really, she's not the prettiest but not bad considering her age. she's due for a full strip down but as she's my only ride at the moment I'm going to get to know her a bit more and iron out her niggles before committing

From where I sit, it looks like the 12   Shocked  previous owners didn't abuse her too much.
