Hi all

A friend of mine recently bought a K75 ABS1 and it needs a new battery for it.

Could anyone tell me what was the original battery fitted to the K75.

Cheers

Pat

According to realoem.com all K75 came with a 19Ah battery.
K75, K75c, K75s, K75RT (12/1984 - 06/2005)

Just my opinion but I think a quality battery like an AGM rather than a cheapie is better. It will last longer and give much more reliable service... and what's an extra $50/$60 over 4 to 6 years for peace-of-mind. AGM bats hold their charge better over periods of non-use and will generally have a higher CCA rating.

Cheers

There's plenty of affordable sealed non-maintenance AGM batteries out there these days. I don't think it's an either/or situation.

The one battery that truly amazes me is the Westco.  I had a failing battery in a 3L six cylinder car a few months ago.  Before I got around to replacing it, when it wouldn't start I would just jumper it to a charged Westco and it would start the car right up! I was kind of shocked by this but happy with the results.

Best Price batterie are the Kung Long batteries for solar and alarm system. Many K-Rider in Germany use them.
Fits great.

18Amp is enough for a K-bike with ABS
If you want more there is 22Amp with nice connections.

Starts great, even after years.

There's a yuasa in the K1100 seems plenty strong but it's mounted longitudinally. I got this one off my local ride on mower guy for €60.

Says "895" on the type. Its 32AH and 300 CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) after 2 years in the LT it's still tip top. Would be more than enough for a K75.

Hi guys

Thanks for information.
He got a 20Ah gell battery for €45 not bad. He tells me he hasn't started it yet as its been laying up for a number of years so he is taking it slowly. You won't believe the purchase price. Prizes for nearest guess. Ha

Hi guys

The last guess was  the neatest.  €1.00 I don't know what that equates to in Aussie dollars probably the same. Cheap or what, buckets of **** and roses come to mind. Ha ha. Will post photo of same soon.

Cheapest I ever managed was a Honda CM250 for a fiver back in the early Nineties. I was given a Moto Guzzi 1000SP and a Phelon & Moore M100 but I'd had both in 'temporary' storage for some years before the owners realised they weren't going to be able to collect them, so I don't think that counts.

Our mates rates currency is cans of beer, but a euro or two most likely will buy you a beer anyway.
So he bought it for a can of beer, yikes that's the best deal I have heard of lately.
