Dear all,
Encouraged by a very quick sale of my 1961 Jag Mk2 I've placed my flying brick on the market by listing her on the Gumtree website.
After a week or so without any luck I though to change the demography by placing an additional ad through a Facebook motorcycle sales page.
Within two days I got a personal message asking if I would take $2500 and "can I pick her up this afternoon"
After a few text messages we finally settled on a price and this 25yo surfer kid rolled in to check her out. I fully expected an old fart like me to to take out the magnifying glass and go through each and every bolt, but this kid just wanted to take her for a test ride and load her on the back of his truck
You may have seen a few fairing bits for sale? That is because he just didn't want any extras. His idea is to make a cafe racer and all the plastic stuff was just the stuff he didn't need.
Anyway, it is with a little bit of regret to let her go, but it looks like she is destined for long open roads somewhere around Dabbo, NSW with a starry eyed kid who just loved the way she looked.

PS I suspect that this was the last time I will ever see her:
