Hi everyone. just a question. What is your fuel consuption on your k100RS? I'm doing 1liter for every 9KL on average. Sometimes it hits 13KM per 1 Liter. Is it normal?

I usually get about 5.4 litres per 100km (standard fuel consumption units in Oz.)

If I calculated correctly, that makes about 18.5 km per litre.

That is mostly out of town riding, only a little in town and almost none in the city. That will make a difference.

Anything from 17 - 20 km/lt would be considered ok First thing is new plugs and serviced injectors

Thanks for the answer. Im stuck in a city that always has traffic jam in the day time. During the night its very empty on the roads but i dont really travel fast as the road conditions and stupid rider here makes it more dangerous to ride fast. so i do about 70km/ph max most of the time its 50 -60 km/ph

I only get about 15km/L which is about 6.6L per 100km - which im not very happy about.

I might ride a bit too hard a lot of the time - but why else do you have 90hp?

I have brand new HT leads, good coils, serviced injectors, valves clearances are all in spec, bike runs great.

My ignition timing has just been set 'by eye and ear' - not using the BMW method (dont have the tools).

Dont know what I can do next to better my millage. Will try new iridium plugs one day.

Since I got the LT and then the RT I have worked on 10 miles to a litre, about 16km/litre. However I noticed a drop in the summer and I reckon its gone to only about 8-9 miles per litre and its accompanied by a knock that sounds like an injector issue as the running is also affected. Decided to have a look at this over the winter.

I'm getting around 5.4 to 5.6 l/100k but occasionally it jumps up to 5.8. I do a lot of commuting which will push it up a bit.
Last year my consumption was varying from 6.5 to 8.0 l/100k. Exhaust valves were out.
I've heard that a poor battery can affect fuel consumption.
