I have been working on my K75RT '93 all weekend.
While i had the tank of i noticed that there were a plug missing on the upper airbox. I think it is the plug above the Co2 adjustment.
Is it important to have this plug ie. the engine gets false (and unfiltratet) air through this unplugged hole or is it just to avoid dirt getting into the ajustment screw?

Thank you very much for your reply Inge. I will order this spare part first thing monday.
Maybe this is why the airflter was so clean Shocked . Air was drawn through this hole and not through the filter.

So where to get this plug? I have asked at the local BMW dealer and they say that it is not on stock anywhere in Denmark, Germany or Italy. Couldn't I just use any plug that fits the hole and stops air from entering - even tape the hole?

Taping the hole will be fine, or any plug that seals properly, until you get the correct plug.

I think that a rubber plug of decent quality that fits in the hole would be as
good as the genuine part.
Using tape would be a temporary fix.

It could be that one of the plugs in this assortement would fit.
If you measure the dia of the hole and the thickness of the housing,
I can tell you if it is a plug of suitable size in the assortement.

Thank you Inge.
I will lift of the newly filled tank today, meassure the hole and post back

Otherwise i could use and old plug that, cut it to shape and tape to the housing as an intermediary plug until i get an original from somewhere.

I will phone MotoWorks today to hear if they have a used plug from a broken airbox top.
