Hello all.
Just joined. Owning my first ever BMW and I dont know what I think yet?
On Dec 04th 2012, I had a serious accident and this has put paid to any chances of me riding a normal bike properly ( Although I did manage to ride my CBR about a year ago, but I only went down the road and it was killing me ).
Just last week, I saw this thing going for sale fairly locally, and so I tthought bugger it, I will get it.
Its a 1984 Model so fairly old, but it sounds ok and its not in bad condition, the trike job is not too bad, however its almost impossible to turn the thing and so I need to either increase the rake, or better still, upgrade it to leading links, and the bar is stock, so that needs replacing with higher, and farther back controls, and forward footpegs too!
Give it a more comfortable feel because its seriously painful on my legs as they are on it.
I have only ridden it twice so far... Once around my block clockwise and once anti-clockwise and it was murder trying to steer the thing, so, I am simply not going to ride it until I have done some of these things to it. This is killing me though!
Admittedly, I handed my licence in last year, and now I want it back... I see no reason why they would refuse me, but thats what the adaptations are for of course! I also have more operations in the pipeline, and again, the waiting list is 16 months and I have waited about 5 months, so its going to take a while to sort out, I would like the time I have, to get it organised, and the time I will have to be back off the road to get he work done, so that by the time I am ready to ride again... It will be finished!
Well, that is if things go to plan of course!
Ok, well thats some of me and my bike/trike. I wont waste my time typing too much, no one ever reads this stuff anyway.
If you want to know more, then I will be happy to talk.
But for now...
