Good morning,

Just got my first BMW K100 this weekend and despite being rather short in the leg, and therefore on tippy toes, loving it.

Welcome to the forum.

A few options on height.

1: Stanchions can be pulled up about 10mm.
2: Rear tyre a small change from 130/90 to 140/80 when you are changing the rear tyre gains 5mm.

3: There is a low seat conversion, parts are available either as a complete set from Motorworks or Motobins or chase around the forum. Its a different seat but also a change to the storage area under it and also the side panels.

4: Don't laugh but I know a few guys on bikes have extra height in their boots.

My LT has 'Comfort' seat, funny thing I am on tippy toes like that, on the RT I can get the feet down flat and feels much more nimble in town. But I would much prefer the Comfort seat for longer trips.

Don't be afraid to ask questions, someone will have answers for you.

Hi Zitman, welcome from Oz.

Have the same problem.
Rebuilt seat was part of my solution.
Putting a shorter rear shock on (from RAM in Britain) combined with lifting the forks in the triple clamps as Olaf said made enough difference for this shorty.

Bill.

If you have an original shock it will fail eventually so it may be a good move to go that route too. According to my book the seat height is 810mm standard, so shock and forks and 140/80 rear tyre may get you up to 20mm drop.

Not sure what is in the low seat conversion, suspect it may be up to another 25mm but I wonder how comfortable it is.
