Hi
I'm Bo from Middelfart - yeah..I know..but that IS the name of my town i Denmark.
I have a K-100RT (the serial says it's a USA model) from '84 and I'm in the middle of an engine change -hope to get it running in a short time.
Previous I had a RS, but I totalled it on a trip to Norway.

Welcome - plenty of info in here. Dunno what Rick's laughing at - he obviously hasn't seen the name of some German towns on the Belgium border!

Town names are a curious thing, sometimes they're stories best left to history. The US has a few of its own...French Lick, Indiana and Toad Suck, Arkansas, to name two. Australia has a few too, like Yorkey's Knob, Diapur, Dunedoo and Come-By-Chance. Never mind the Aboriginal place names!

Welcome to the foulrum.
Wink

Welcome.  Do let us know how the engine swap goes.
On my recent ride to a BMW rally in Montana, USA I discovered there is a Butt, Idaho. Razz
I've passed through a good number of towns where that name seemed appropriate....

How do you plan  to do the engine swap? Complete tear down or something else?

Just curious as I have a K75 that I'd like to put a newer engine in.

And that's also why all maps of Scotland still have the gaelic placenames for landscape features. The Paps of Jura is probably the most polite of them all.

Been to French Lick, BTW.
