For those who'd like to join me, Charlie & TacKler tomorrow for a day ride to meet up with Rick G, we're merging paths at the Compton Road Macca's, Calamvale. 9AM Saturday the 6th.

If it's heavy, steady or bucketing it might not happen, but a light drizz won't stop us or slow us down.

Hope to see some of you there.

Wait until I'm there, will take about 6 months.
It's raining and cold here.
So don't start without me ;-)

I would love to have a nice ride!

Wait wait ;-)

Cheers

Teviot Falls view, on the way up to Queen Mary Falls. It rained on and off today but was quite warm. The twisty bits were plenty, with several shallow water crossings.

We met up with Rick G a half an hour later. The ride back towards Brissie over Cunningham's Gap saw more rain and grew increasingly warmer. At times we let 'er rip! It was an easy, approximately 350+K ride.

I'd like to say thanks for your faith in my mechanical abilities, Chazza, but to start with a foundation as solid as a K brick is the real secret. She literally needed a 'dusting off', a new battery, air in the tyres and off we went.

A good ride indeed. Having been through several months of a Seattle area Winter with its near endless rain (coupled with a walk to work each day) meant I'd discovered a few new sore muscles after yesterday's ride, as I don't ride daily any more.

any ride with friends is a good one , I'm sure the rain was of minor consequence .
Good to see TWB is receiving a top welcome on his current tour of Oz .

A great day had by all, good to see Darren again. Thanks for transporting the bits.  When we left the falls it just started raining lightly and the closer I got to home the heavier it got and as I approached and crested the last ridge the horizon was showing a thin blue stripe and the rain stopped almost as soon as I stopped the engine.

on the return trip out of Kilarney, I missed the 2 ..(yes two ) signs that would take us back to the highway near Gladfield  ...oh well, made the trip about 20 minutes longer as we came into warwick  again ...doh ! ...sorry bout that ...giggles

I think ive only ever travelled that route once before in that direction ...no wonder that scenery looked a little different ...I blame no sun and lost direction under the heavy cloud cover ....

might have to look at the rear shock ...was bouncing around on the uneven truck tracks in the tar ...quite a weird feeling ....maybe ive forgotten what its like for the past few years of superior performance ...got a feeling the oil has escaped past the upside down seals

I was beginning to think we were monopolizing the rain! CAT1 hurricane wind speeds her east night and rain to match.

Still, I suppose someone has to do it.

Over here, Cat 1 is a breeze! We wouldn't even think of calling it a hurricane.  Very Happy
